Many years ago our ancestors made everything they used and wore.  of the sashes they wore was made by using sticks and then weaving with them the fibers they would find. They used long grasses and fibers when they had them.

Today we still use these weaving sticks to to make not only sashes but also wall hangings, rugs, and runners for our tables.  What ever we find, we can weave.  Fibers, yarn, wools, and threads.

Weaving sticks are fun to use and very easy to learn. Mothers, daughters and grandmothers alike use them to create items for themselves, friends, family and home.
